WIPs

Welcome to the WIPs page. This is where I will post information about my current projects.

Paranormal Books:
Currently, I am working on book two in my Kutzuk (Mayan Demigods) series. This one is called Jaded Dreams and it follows the story of Alexia and Jasper. Jasper was inspired by Jason Lewis (left) and Alexia was inspired by Francis Bean Cobain (below). Jasper is a Way'bah (a Dreamwalker) who is destined to take his mother's place on the Council of Elders and help lead his people. However, he knows he can never truly accept the position or the responsibilities it entails. He's determined to live his life as humans do, and so he's left his people and found a home at a little 50s-themed diner in downtown LA. But he finds himself drawn into the dreams of a haunted Kutzuk who he vows to save. Little does he know that his Doll, Alexia, has truly been held captive by the demons of the Sun God for centuries.

This book is so much fun to work with. It's one that I've been playing with and trying to wrestle into submission going on almost three years now. This sounds like a long time, and it is, but I've been tasked with writing so many other books over the past three years for my erotic romance pen name that I have had to start and stop Jaded Dreams so many times that I haven't been able to finish it. Until now. I am about a third of the way through rewrites on a new draft, and this time, I will push through to the end, no matter what! I will be using the rest of this month and most of National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) to finish the draft. Then it's off to my wonderful Critique Partner for feedback.

Next year, I will start work on the next book in this series, Jaded Past, which will follow the epic and tragic love story of Nacon and Amara. Amara was born an Egyptian Princess to a human Pharaoh and a Kutzuk female. Amara angers the Goddess of Fate, Hemsut, who curses her to die and be reborn over and over again, so she can never be happy with Nacon. This book spans the time of more than four thousand years, and will be so much fun to play with. I can't wait to dive into this story next year and see where it takes me.

Romantic Suspense
I also have a trilogy of undercover cops I've been working on. The series title is Under the Covers
Cops. The first book, Los Diablos, follows reporter Eva Ramirez as she investigates her brother's murder. Along the way, she realizes her ex, Diego, is somehow involved with the gang that killed her brother. Little does she know that the young, carefree college student she once knew has become a cop who's gone undercover as a gang member. Stakes get even higher when she has to help him keep his cover or risk both their lives. I will be working on the second book in this series in 2016 as well. To the right is Jon Huertas, who has loosely inspired Diego Lopez.

I'll be working on a few other projects in 2016 as well, but these will be two of my main projects. Stay tuned for more info.
